There’s very little to no information available online on critic and historian Agustin/Augustin Sotto. There are also no information on whether which of them are the right spelling of his name since BFI website reflects the latter. There are many tributes available, one of them a short-lived blog by Alexis Tioseco named “Dear Hammy” (https://dearhammy.wordpress.com/). Another tribute here from Ray Edmonson and Clodualdo Del Mundo, Jr.

Sotto was the founder of SOFIA – Society of Filipino Archivists for Film and was also a member of the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino. Aside from these information, I hope anyone of you could contribute, or at least, anyone of you could create an article of your own writing about the late Film Critic / Historian.

Agustin Sotto writings found online:

Pelikula: an essay on the Philippine film, 1897-1960 (Need someone to counter-check this, I’m not sure if this really is the essay)

These five for now, I’m not sure whether my googling skills have failed me on unearthing other writings from him.

Good day!
